The atlas is the form of more neutral story and at the same time classifying; You can be opened at any height and always be in front of a truthful representation of the world share ability. Every man is two mens and the truth is always the other and why the living entity is intended to include within itself all living things (Plato-Timaeus). In an atlas, every part of the world is there to see at that time. It is a place where it is clear that it is not possible to embrace the entire globe, because you have to be at a certain place, in a dedicated table of orientation. It is true a table is a part of the same global representation, without which it would never be fully understood and by which diversity is multiplied endlessly although it can never be expressed in its fullness. For this reason, atlases discriminate the natural elements, anthropomorphic, imagination as the monsters of miniature Flemish and the kingdom of Prester John, or artificial, like an alien place of which we will never experience if not in imagination. An atlas is like a prosthetic vision through which everything becomes dimensionless and can be found in several places simultaneously and without any unneeded information. Human beings represented in an atlas is the atlas itself. Without their outlook the atlas itself would not exist nor the world inside; the mere fact of creating it, the experience of leafing through it, is to legitimize themselves, is the knowledge of spreading our image into unknown forms and probably not so different from those we perceive subjectively.
